Do you suffer from lower back issues:
In pain? Trouble Sleeping? Sitting? Have been diagnosed with bulging disks, arthritis, sciatica, joint disease, spinal stenosis, SI joint issues, tight or sore muscles, etc?
If you do you are in good company! Experts estimate that as many as 80% of us will experience a back problem at some time in our lives: starting with school aged children and peaking in adults of baby boomer age.
Chances are also good that you may have tried conventional back care therapies include pain medication, injections, surgery and physical therapy. While these therapies have some value, they all have their pros and cons.
Pain medication and injections offer pain relief but often just mask symptoms and can cause serious side effects. Physical therapy, while providing a good means of addressing some back issues can be limited by what the insurance company deems necessary, not necessarily what is needed to complete your care.
Surgery is usually the last resort for many people and is very expensive ($10,000 for a disc procedure and up to $65,000 for a spinal fusion) with one out of every two surgeries failing.
An alternative for back care that is showing great success is yoga therapy. Yoga therapy uses gentle yoga postures to help relieve and prevent back problem, relieve pain quickly, increase flexibility, reduce dependency on medications, improve mood, and help you sleep better as well.
Once learned, you can do the postures at home, which empowers you to positively impact your own health without the need for drugs or costly treatment programs. Return to an active lifestyle/work much more rapidly having more control over your own health.

I have been teaching yoga for over 15 years and for the last five years been highly focused on helping people use gentle yoga to relieve and prevent lower back problems.
